About HDRN Canada
Health Data Research Network Canada (HDRN Canada) is a pan-Canadian network of member organizations that either hold linkable health and health-related data for entire populations and/or have mandates and roles relating directly to access or use of those data. Member organizations include provincial, territorial, and pan-Canadian organizations that span all of Canada. Each member organization is actively involved in HDRN Canada’s governance and operations and shares a commitment to our mission, vision and values.
Our vision is that data across Canada drive improvements in health and health equity. Our mission is to bring together people and organizations across Canada for transformative and world-leading health data use. We see a future where people in this country derive health benefits from greater and more equitable use of data. Our mission speaks to our role as a distributed network in achieving this vision related to data and multi-regional data use. Access to multi-regional data allows researchers to address health challenges that cross boundaries, leading to advances that help develop innovative solutions and build Canada’s international leadership in the health field. By working together, we can learn from each other’s experiences, tackle shared challenges and improve public health and the health care system for everyone living in Canada.
